I must admit - I read the book after I've seen most of the season 1 of the TV series. And what a pleasant surprise it was - that the book is (dare I say it?) just as good, if not better, than the TV adaptation?
I loved the monologues Dexter would engage in - his conteplations on being a psychopath and an killer... and really, a human being desperately trying to understand and fit in.
A good read :)
